Fighting For Our Veterans

BRAVO ZULU IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS.

Operation Bravo Zulu is designed to provide limited emergency assistance and financial relief to eligible veterans and surviving spouses residing in Hidalgo County who can demonstrate financial need. Services include rental and utility assistance, with support available for up to 6 months or a maximum of $600.00.

Eligible beneficiaries include veterans, members of the National Guard and Reserves, and surviving spouses. Veterans with the following discharge statuses may qualify: Honorable, General Under Honorable Conditions, Other Than Honorable, Uncharacterized, Dishonorable, and Bad Conduct.

As part of the application process, veterans will have the option to participate in a comprehensive needs assessment conducted by a licensed social worker. Based on the results, referrals will be made to appropriate agencies that can effectively address the veteran’s specific needs.

This program is supported by a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans’ Assistance. The Fund for Veterans’ Assistance provides grants to organizations serving veterans and their families. For more information, visit www.tvc.texas.gov.
